Pictures of Life in India

Our kitchen, which now has stuff in it, since our crate finally came!

Lydia's room, now with wall hangings and her Princess rug.

Kayla sporting fashion that clashes east and west.

Kayla in a traditional little girl's Indian outfit.

Auntie and the family came over and cooked us dinner and ate with us shortly after we lost Tobiah.

Havilah doing the dishes.

The men, deep in conversation.

Auntie Lizzy playing with the girls!

Our living room, updated post-crate.

Kayla wearing another Indian outfit.

Lydia - I just love this pose!

Kayla getting off the van after school.

Sambar and rice, one of my favorite Indian dishes.

Not a good picture to place right after the food, I guess! This is a GIANT bug that landed on our porch. We later found out these also bite. I am not sure how someone would live through that, it was a huge bug!!

Lydia and I walk to the grocery store together sometimes. On this particular day, we saw an entire herd of cows, and Lydia was so excited!

The building going on across the street. How they do this all by hand amazes me.

You can see here how the women carry large bowls on their heads filled with cement.

More building.

The girls have now moved up from baths in buckets to baths in plastic bins!

Alan and Lydia before church. I hope to get some pictures at church one Sunday, it is difficult because it can be disruptive, as you might imagine! I also hope to post pictures of Alan's classes soon, as well.
