Prayer Request--Just Received!

The note below we just received from another Indian in Northern India. I have also included links to verify the story that he is claiming. I pray nothing comes of the appointment here, but please keep in prayer.

As Christians we are called to do God's will. Bible says that all authority has given by God. Pray for America President Barrack Obama and intercede for him in prayer.US President-elect Barack Obama has picked Indian-American Sonal Shah, an eminent economist who heads Google's philanthropic arm, as one of the advisers to help him assemble his White House team.

The 40-year-old economist has been associated with the overseas activities of the Sangh Parivar (Hindu fundamentalists). She was a national coordinator of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America campaign to raise funds for Gujarat earthquake victims in 2001.

This Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has played major role in Gujarat religious riots (between Hindus and Muslims) and the recent persecutions against Christians in India.I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people.

Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. Our God is in control. No human power can prevail church.
