RED ALERT

As many of you probably knew before we actually did, Mumbai was attacked by Terrorists who held the city under hostage for nearly three days of terror. This was recorded as the worst attack of terror on Mumbai in Indian history. We woke up to this news report, and I had to catch my wife so she did not put our daughter on the bus, as we were called and told not to leave the house for our safety.

We were glued to television and watched the news, knowing we were in a city that could be next if they were truly targeting Americans and British. We felt safe because we were a safe distance from the areas of Bangalore that they might target, but when you are ordered to stay indoors you start to think of all kinds of scenarios. We watched to see what was going to take place.

I was amazed at how long it was taking for the Indians to take control of these terrorists and it just made me that much more appreciative of our military system. Those who take their safety for granted should spend some time in a country like India, where it takes them 3 days to catch ten young terrorists. My wife and I both knew that if this happened in America they would have had these guys in hours. Delta Force and/or other agencies would have been in there and taken these guys out quickly with no remorse. There are pictures here with the soldiers afraid to fire back. It is just a different world. Thank your military and police for the safety they provide you and do not take if for granted.

Now we are praying and just wondering how these young men get trapped and caught into these enticements? What causes young twenty-somethings to think that this is the best scenario for their lives? Why aren’t we reaching them for Christ? They are lost and they took so many lives with them, who also may be lost.

The country is now looking for redemption and vengeance and who knows what is going to happen next. They are blaming Pakistan and being very hostile even in the media. This is why Indigenous ministry is so important and what we are trying to accomplish here is so worth while, as we are training people who will hopefully go back to places like these and reach these young men before they are reached by these terror groups.

Please continue to pray for us and send your support as we train men and women to plant indigenous churches in villages that will reach men for Christ and ultimately bring peace instead of terror.

John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
